Steven Grundman is a business strategist and public policy analyst to the aerospace and defense sector, work that he performs across four platforms — Grundman Advisory, a business-strategy consultancy of which he is the founder; the Atlantic Council, where he is a senior fellow; Syracuse University, where he leads the National Security Studies program; and the consultancy Renaissance Strategic Advisors, where he is an Executive in Residence. From 2000 to 2011, he was a Vice President and Director of A&D Consulting at Charles River Associates, a global business consultancy. In the 1990s, he served in a succession of appointments at the US Department of Defense, beginning in the Office of Program Analysis and Evaluation and culminating in his appointment as Deputy Under Secretary for Industrial Affairs and Installations. Mr. Grundman served in the US Army’s 1st Armored Division, was a consular and diplomatic officer in the US Foreign Service, and worked in the executive office and on the research staff of the Center for Naval Analyses.
