Prat Kumar is vice president and program manager of Boeing F-15 Programs. He leads F-15 business strategy, execution and growth for all variants of the iconic F-15 fighter including the U.S. Air Force F-15 fleet such as the F-15EX Eagle II, F-15E Strike Eagle, Eagle Passive Active Warning and Survivability System (EPAWSS), as well as the Advanced F-15s for international customers and future F-15 technology insertion programs.
Before joining the F-15 program, Prat was president of Boeing India, where he led advances and activities across India for Boeing Commercial Airplanes, Boeing Global Services and Boeing Defense Space & Security.
Prior to joining Boeing in 2012, Prat served in leadership roles at General Electric for nearly a decade in both the U.S. and India. Earlier he launched his career as a consultant with McKinsey & Company in the U.S. and was an entrepreneur founding high technology startups in the Boston area.
Prat has served with several aviation, industry, and not for profit organizations including tenure as the chairman of the board of American Chamber of Commerce India from 2016-18 and currently serves on the Board of Commisioners for the St. Louis Science Center.
Prat earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi and a doctorate in materials engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he was also an Industry Collegium fellow supported by the Leaders for Manufacturing program.
