Profile

John Ullrich is the Director of Strategic Sourcing for Raytheon, a business of RTX. He oversees material strategies, proposals, small and diverse business utilization, and international supply chain development for Raytheon's supply chain material volume.

John started his career at Raytheon in 2007 as a Manufacturing Engineer, and he took roles of increasing scope and responsibility across Raytheon operations, program management, and supply chain. Notably, John architected the production ramp for Paveway weapon systems and served as the supply chain and operations lead for TOW, Javelin, and Excalibur. Before taking a leadership role within Supply Chain Management, John operated as the strategic lead for the Naval Weapons Systems mission area, where he led affordability and requirements and capabilities-focused projects aimed at delivering cost-effective and capable systems rapidly.

In addition to his professional career, John enriches the next generation as an instructor of Systems and Industrial Engineering at the University of Arizona.

John holds a bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Stout, a Master of Science in Systems Engineering, and a Doctor of Engineering in Engineering Management from George Washington University. As part of his Doctoral defense, John developed and published a methodology for visualizing risk and vulnerabilities within the U.S. Defense Industrial Base.

John is a graduate of the Raytheon Engineering Leadership Development program and a Raytheon Six Sigma Expert. He is a contributing member of the American Physical Society and the International Council on Systems Engineering. John's career and academic interests center on complex system governance for enterprises and network optimization.
